Spork, Daisy and the Honeybunny

Yes yes I'm still alive! The past few weeks have been a crazy busy busy rollercoaster :) I'll be catching up on this blog so stay tuned...

First of all meet Spork, Daisy and Honeybunny who are part of this years Plush You show. Here's a little story of how they ran in to each other:

When walking in the forests of Oblong the blue giant Spork heard screams of a Daisy in distress. Always being ready to save the day wearing his stripey swimming trunks, Spork did not hesitate a moment to jump into action. He peeked through the trees to catch a glimpse of what was going on.

Spork spotted the cutest of insects called the Honeybunny tickling flower girl Daisy, which made her screaming with giggles!

Not being much of a comedian himself, Spork reached to the sky with his tall arms and captured the petit Honeybunny in a glass jar to put the wee joker safely away…

Custom Munny @ Garabat

Meet Loulou a custom 8" Munny for gallery Garabat in Bilbao, Spain! Here's his background story:

Far far away beyond the rocky rainbows, beneath the starry skies on the border of the horizon lives the cuddliest of creatures called Loulou.

You may not have heard of him but you have seen his work. He is keeper of the sun and guardian of sunrise and sunset.

Every morning before the roosters crow, little Loulou wakes up early and pushes the shining sun out to the East. In the evening when the sun is tired and its light is weakening he tucks it away safely in the West. To catch a wee glimpse of Loulou all you have to do is look up every now and then. When he fulfills his duty at sunset and sunrise the sky bursts a cry of happiness and shines in pretty pink...

Urban Paper Tokyo @ Cafe Pause

Next stop of the Urban Paper world tour is Tokyo! The paper toy circus has landed at the very cool looking venue Cafe Pause located in Ikebukuro, where the show will run from September 7-20. Organiser Josh McKible came up with a funky paper toy mascot which is available here.

For the Tokyo show I designed 3 new paper pieces: fortune kitty Lucky, a special edition NaniBird custom called Tucky and the pink bunny robot Bubblebot!

Alley!

New paper and plush goodies are now available at Guerilla Gallery Alley in Hasselt, Belgium! Alley is a new creative venue right at the centre of Hasselt combining both a gallery and a shop while focusing on new young creatives.

Alley is looking super slick so be sure to stop by at the opening this evening or any other Monday-Saturday between 12 and 6 :)
